Check out the trailer for the feature documentary “Corman’s World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel” based on the life and career of filmmaker extraordinaire Roger Corman. I am honored to have been a part of this film’s post-production as an Archival Researcher / Post PA. The film has played at several festivals this year including Sundance, Cannes, NYFF and several others. The theatrical release will happen Dec. 16th at select theaters in LA and NYC.

Before meeting Chiz, I heard a lot of good things and countless stories through our mutual best friend Daniel “D Smoke” Farris, so much that their was an immediate camaraderie. I believe we first met during my 1st year at UCLA, at an African Men’s Collective house party hosted by our mentor Jullien “PurposeFinder” Gordon. All I can remember is laughing and dancing all night, just having a good time throwing our hands in the air on the dance floor. Through the years, there’s been so many great memories, laughs and just genuine great times shared that its hard to believe our time together is over. This time last year we were gearing up for Halloween weekend up at Evan’s…i can’t believe how much our world can change in less than a yr…..
I just want to express to everyone I know how grateful I am to have lived amongst Chiz’ charisma and talent. Whatever filmmaking and artistry craft I possess is of direct impact by Chiz and Daniel, and the entire WoodWorks family. The night I bought my first camera, I was soo excited to go and capture some footage I hit Dan up and met him and Chiz out in the valley for their “Producer of the Year” mixing session. We bumped his “Prodigal” track about a billion times, and I was completely in awe of his bars then, still am and will forever be.
Chiz, I’ve been listening to your music, playing our videos these past few days…Its difficult to stop the tears but I also can’t help but laugh and smile for you OG. You and the whole WoodWorks camp have always shown a faith in me that I never even had for myself. Your family is my family. Your dream is my dream and I will “Go Hard” in your memory and dedicate any and all my success to you and yours bro. I’ll carry you always and won’t stop until your dream is realized and the world knows just how great you are, and possess a love for the bars and laughs that we’ll all miss.
